The Call To Unleavened Worship

In preparation for the Passover season, I wanted to re-release this study article – ‘The Call to Unleavened Worship’. Worshipping Yah must be done in a fashion that is void of anything within us that causes ‘self’ to ‘rise’ and be puffed up. He is after unleavened lifestyles. Removing the ‘rising factor’ from our lives, through recognition that He is Elohim and we are not, causes us to lay ‘flat’ on the floor – bowed low in humility, while He is lifted up. Ask Him to reveal to you what is in your life that causes ‘self’ to rise, puff up and expand. Like yeast, it doesn’t take long for the leaven of sin to be worked into all aspects of our life making it that much harder to rid ourselves from things that so easily entangle us.

It’s time to prepare our homes, examine our inward beings for those things that keep us apart from the One who has invested so much interest in us. One of the best ways to begin the process of leaven elimination, is to sit in quiet worship; asking Him to search the heart and try the thoughts. Only Messiah Yahushua has the power to remove the leaven we have mixed in all throughout our life.

As we sit in Yahuweh’s presence singing to Him, listen closely, because you just might hear Him singing back to you. He’s our Daddy – grab hold of His leg tightly and never let go…

  1. Absolute powerful – and so concise. I never thought about it like that. People do their duties and get rid of leaven in their houses, eat matzo for 8 days, and feel good about observing Pesach. But, getting what puffs us up out of our lives is something I’ve not heard taught except by a good friend of ours – (I Corinthians 5:6-8). I’m sure he appreciates your blog, too.

    • Yes! We must celebrate it with sincerity (meaning unmixed, pure, undefilement) and Truth (1 Cor. 5:8). The Festivals weren’t created for ‘feel good’ sake, but for the purpose of recognizing our need for salvation and deliverance – thus duty becomes a privilege and love.

  2. I was thinking about Passover a lot today too. I am very much looking forward to it this year, especially the blood moon. You make a good point about examining our lives to eliminate the leaven in ourselves as well as our home. We must strive to lead the “unleavened lifestyle.”

    Blessings,
    Julia
