Perseverance

We go through many times in our lives where we need encouragement, need to know there is someone else who is going through what we are going through or has victoriously gone through what we are going through. We like to know we are not alone. These are all normal human emotions.

BUT—

It is when we learn that Yahuweh and Yahushua are always there, whether we feel Them or not…we trust Them and stand solidly on Their Words through the Scriptures…we know They will never leave us or forsake us…that is when we persevere and make it through!

There is nothing wrong with encouraging others. In fact, this is our calling…to strengthen and encourage those who are following Him and want to deepen and strengthen their relationship with Him (Revelation 3:2)! However, our encouragement should be through standing on His Word…leading people back to the basics, reinforcing and strengthening them through HIM!

In light of that encouragement, we want to share one miracle story that occurred on our recent trip to speak. While there, our son asked us to pray for a friend on his tennis team. His friend had collapsed from a seizure that morning, was in coma and not breathing on his own. That evening, we were speaking at a home group on returning to the ancient ways, faith, repentance, and healing…what they really mean from the Hebraic culture. Our son was there to hear us speak. After we spoke, we ministered healing for about 45 minutes while some went ahead and ate (there was a potluck after the meeting).

Our son is almost 16 and was starving, but when we and several others told him it was okay if he wanted to go eat, he said, “No way—this is way too interesting and I don’t want to miss anything.” By the time we finished, he came up to us, gave us a big hug and said, “That was so powerful!” He had seen healing miracles so we asked him, “Are you willing to stand in for your friend? We will anoint you with oil and command your friend’s healing through you standing in for him.” Our son said yes and we bound the enemy, cast out the spirit of seizures, and commanded his friend to wake up and breathe on his own. This was at 8:30 pm. By the next morning (we don’t know the exact time so it could have been as we were praying), we heard a report that his friend was breathing on his own and awake! HalleluYAH!!

Derek and I believe more miracles aren’t happening today because many have slipped into a realm of “head belief” instead of wholehearted, child-like, passionate belief in what Messiah said in Mark 16:17-18 and John 14:12! We, His body of believers, need to stand together, persevere together and lift each other up USING His Word and being led and taught by His Spirit! If we don’t encourage and MODEL what we believe through consistent actions rooted in His Word, how will others know how to? How will they see His Light in us?

These questions came to me while spending time in His Presence today….because I was asking Him, “How do I rest in you and not get overwhelmed or even burdened under the weight of other people’s lack of faith? How do I show them YOU in me, stay compassionate, stay passionate and uncompromising while lifting them up and not getting emotionally drained myself?”

The answer was in what we’ve been doing…keep encouraging, keep pointing people back to His Word. Show them you believe His Word by standing on it and not wavering! Point out negativity in love and share your weaknesses so they know you are human and have overcome through Him! When we share how we have overcome, it increases other’s ability to do the same. It isn’t that we are the reason…we are the vessel being used by Him to help them REMAIN in HIM and REMAIN steadfast…persevere through anything and be an overcomer until the end of their race!!!! Always praise Them and give Them all the ESTEEM (glory)!

We pray for all who are reading this to be encouraged to persevere through the trials of life! We hope (confidently expect) through the miracles we share, that you will deepen your relationship with Him through His Word and spending time with Him…allow Him to increase your faith/belief so you will have your own miracle stories to share.

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of esteem, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Elohim; and the peace of Elohim which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Messiah Yahushua!”

  1. Hello Guys, thank you so much for a lovely message. I studied Daniel 9 last week and I pray that we all have the belief and determination that he had. He loved Israel and Father Yahuweh so much. Have a blessed Sabbath.

  2. This word was perfect for me today, my little Pomeranian dog Dolly went missing yesterday, I have done everything I can think of in my power to put the word out, but I am trusting Abba immeasurably more than I can think or imagine, that He is working even now to the good for me because He called me according to His Great Grace and power. I really do not have to worry at all. Whatever He works out is fine by me. Encouragement has been what I have been feeling all day because of Yahushua’s body of faithful believers encouraging me and keeping me in their prayers as well as for my little lost baby dog Dolly. Thanks for your words and the word of life you write and speak out for all to hear.

  3. You have refreshed us! “He who refreshes others shall be refreshed”!
