Dead Battery – Faithful Abba

Shabbat Shalom!

We just wanted to give a short ‘shofar blast’ to Abba’s goodness and faithfulness.

A few mornings ago, Rivkah got into the car to go to work – however, the battery was completely dead!

We had just spent the last 10 minutes of the morning, before she had to leave, searching for the car keys. I had just gone to the dentist the day before, so I checked my jeans pockets and other areas of the house. She looked through her purse and went through the kitchen drawers. No keys! Rivkah was able to find the spare key, so she went and gathered her things and put them in the car.

When she got in, she noticed that the car keys were left in the ignition. I had left them in there all day and night from when I had taken the car to the dentist the day before. I work from home, so normally I don’t get out and drive very much. I guess I was out of the habit of taking the keys out of the ignition (smile).

When she went to start the car – ZERO response! I had left the key in the first position; the one that gives power to all the accessories. We didn’t panic. I lowered my head with a sigh and proceeded to chase down the thousand thoughts going through my mind at the moment. Rivkah decided to see if one of the neighbors were home and could give us a jump. As I was getting the battery cables out, she went next door to our neighbor who, “just so happened” to be getting in his car to leave for work.

He kindly agreed to jump our car, and within 10 minutes of finding out our car was completely dead, it was running. Bless our neighbor! But more importantly, Praise Abba because He never forsakes us! To forsake means to leave on the side of the road stranded – or in this case – to leave at home in the garage stranded.

Abba never missed a beat, He never lost a second! Remember, He is an on time Abba – on time in His timing! All we have to do is rest in it!

He delights to give us the desires of our heart – our delight is to give Him the desires of His heart!

Praise Him with us as we shout… Hallelu-Yah!

Blessings as you rest in His joy and peace,
