Shabbat Thought #3

Shabbat Shalom,

This week’s Shabbat Thought is based upon Mark 4:38 and 1 John 4:18:

The greatest affirmation of His love is not in asking us where our belief is to stop the storm, but where our trust is in knowing that He will never allow us to perish in the storm

“Why are you so afraid,” He asks? Do you not know that there is no fear in trusting in Me, who is perfected Love? For I, perfect Love, will cast away from you what brings you torment!

One Comment:

  1. It is a matter of personal relationship. Yahushua wants us to know Him, know His nature, ways, and thinking so that we do what we do because we love Him so much, but also know that He loves us so much – so there is mutual trust between Master and servant-friend. Lots of Abba’s children have the gifts of healing, proclamation, deliverance, preaching, teaching, pastoring, but they do it in faith. It works! They do their ministry well. But, having been in the Christian ministry, I realize that even though they’re anointed to do what they do, still the intimacy that the Master wants from us, an exchange of love, is not there. This is the distinguishing mark between the guests, the attendants, and the Bride.
