To See Through His Eyes…

Last Shabbat morning, as we woke up, my prayer was, “Father, let me see each person we feed through your eyes. Allow me to hear Your Spirit on how to pray or what to say to each individual…what You want to say to each person.”

As we were serving food and drinks to the homeless, we ask them how they are, and usually say something encouraging like, “May Father bless you today.” It is amazing how much enthusiasm most of them have…more joy and overall excitement in their voices and body language than most people who “have” so much more than they do. They respond back with “God bless you,” “Thank you,” or my favorite, “I am blessed. It is a wonderful day to be alive.” I responded, “Yes it is—He created us and gave us breath!” HalleluYAH!

Near the end of serving the food, we had two more plates, and everyone had eaten and had seconds. We carried the plates to see if we could find a couple of people who had not gotten any food yet. Almost right away, we found one person and gave them a plate. However, it seemed no one needed or wanted the last plate. Derek said a prayer, “Father, have someone come around the corner who needs food.” Before he even finished, Lonnie came around the corner. [The Man Around the Corner]

Lonnie touched my heart that day. I knew his spirit was broken, crushed…his hope nearly completely gone. I asked Abba to allow me to see through His eyes today. What I saw changed me forever. When you share a few words of His Word with those who have lost everything including their hope, you see His Light go forth into their very being, their breath, and their spirit and change them, fill them with a little Hope. You see how serving food, drinks, clothing and Bibles to others is as if you are serving them to Messiah himself. (Matthew 25:31-40)

“Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.” – Proverbs 13:12

“Yahuweh is near to the broken-hearted, And saves those whose spirit is crushed.” – Psalm 34:18

As plants need water to grow and not die…so we need His Word to live and not die…we need to share His Word and help the helpless to be truly fulfilled and filled with the fullness of His eternal JOY!!

In reading the book of John last Shabbat, this revelation came…Our peace is based on our trust in Father and Messiah, and also knowing we are born again. Our JOY comes from knowing we have eternal life when our earthly body dies…knowing Messiah Yahushua has prepared a place to fellowship with Him forever!

Stop and read that again! When we finally realize that no matter what we are going through, when we truly trust ALL things and matters to Them, we will have internal peace, and when we remember that no matter what happens in this life, we have eternal life, we keep and have INTERNAL and ETERNAL joy within us always. Change your focus today….focus on Him, His Word, His promises, being led by His Spirit, sharing His Word, serving others…then you will have peace and joy! HalleluYAH!!
