After watching James Block’s latest video of Psalm 90, something leaped in my spirit!
“Teach us to number our days, that we apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm 90:12
When you close your eyes and listen to James sing Psalm 90 and then again watching the video, see if you have verses leap in your spirit. Verses of feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, being set-apart from the world (1 Peter 1:16)…His Light in a world filled with crudeness, harshness and wickedness (Matthew 5:14, Ephesians 5:4)…making a difference, taking action to do what He said to do, seeking Him with your whole heart through praise, prayer and His Word! See Matthew 25:34-40, Luke 3:11, Isaiah 58:10, James 2:14-18, Proverbs 28:27, 1 John 3:17-18. Please look up the Scriptures!
When it says teach us to number our days…it says to me, use your days for My Work, for things of eternal value, things I’ve asked of you. That is why we were created. That is wisdom…realizing our days are numbered and can’t be wasted on the TV, mindless chit chat, complaining, whining, and things to please the flesh! Time is so short and precious and Messiah’s return is imminent. If you knew He was returning September 2016, would your choices change? If you knew your time was up on this earth in less than a month, would you change your priorities and what is important to you? He asked us to live as if there is no tomorrow…Matthew 6:34. He asked us not to be rebellious, and to lay down our life as His Son did for us! He asked us to teach our children! He asked us to share the Good News!!
We want to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Don’t focus on the past! We can’t change it! The enemy will try to keep you there, as well as tell you you aren’t forgiven or try to keep you in fear, shame and regret!!
Go forward! Be an overcomer through His strength! When we apply our actions to His commandments and what is on His heart (helping the poor, needy, orphans, and widows), we are applying our hearts to wisdom…His wisdom!
Time is short. We are just dust….but we are His dust, His children, His family and He wants a family that focuses on things of eternal value!
Go Forward…pressing into Him and into the things that are on His heart!
